How to Select an Ultimate Disc
This is a relatively easy thing to do, since Ultimate discs are all the same size, shape, and weight. All you're really doing is selecting a design that you like!
That's true, but there are still some subtle factors you may wish to consider:
There are several manufacturers of Ultimate discs, but Discraft has the vast majority of the market, and they've been producing regulation Ultimate discs longer than any other company. Since their discs are preferred by most competitive Ultimate players, all of the discs on our Ultimate page are the Discraft model.
Ultimate disc can have one-, two- or three-color designs. The more colors, the more expensive the disc.
There are also SuperColor designs, which are more like photographs, and which cover the entire top surface of the disc. These are visually stunning, but they cost more, and they have a slightly different feel to the grip.
Most Ultimate discs are white, but there are several other plastic colors available, including glow-in-the-dark and UV sensitive (clearish-white plastic that turns intense purple in the sun). If you're purchasing discs to be used in games, white is preferred.
We hope that helps! If you're ready to look at the Ultimate discs we have for sale, please visit our Ultimate discs page. Thanks!
